Home Organizing Services

Serving Greater Nashville

A fresh set of eyes, without the emotional weight

My name is Amy Hopeman and I am a professional organizer in Nashville. I grew up in Hawaii with the spirit of kōkua all around me - the idea that we help one another and pitch in wherever we can. That mindset is the heart of everything I do. More than anything, I want to help you live with freedom and joy by letting go of what's weighing you down.

Kōkua (Hawaiian): to extend help, cooperate, pitch in

My mentor, retired home organizer Lea Schneider, taught me something I think about with every client. There is almost always a life event behind a space that has become cluttered or hard to manage. A job change. A move. The loss of someone you love. An empty nest, or a growing family. Even a natural disaster like a flood. Life happens, and our homes carry the weight of it.

Understanding this is what shapes the way I work. I pay close attention to what is really going on, because the clutter is rarely just about the stuff. It is about the season you are in.

I believe our belongings hold energy. They hold our dreams, our memories, and yes, sometimes our failures too. They become clutter when we no longer love them or use them. I'm grateful to Denise Linn for that bit of wisdom, because it's such a gentle way to think about letting go. There is nothing wrong with releasing what no longer serves you, and there is nothing wrong with needing and asking for help to do it.

That's where I come in. I provide decluttering and organizing services for homes and workspaces, and I come with fresh eyes and no emotional attachment to anything in the room. I can see the possibilities you might not.

I love helping with:

  • Kitchen and pantry organization
  • Playroom decluttering

How I work

I work with homeowners, health & wellness professionals and realtors, and every project is tailored to the person in front of me. I always start the same way, by listening.

I ask questions and take time to understand how a space got to where it is and where you'd love it to be. From there, we build simple systems you can actually keep up with, so your home feels intentional and entirely your own.

I charge by the hour. I work quickly and efficiently.

Whatever the space and whatever the season of life, I would love to help. That's what kōkua is all about.
